BACKGROUND

Deon has held leadership roles as Engineering Manager, Technology Manager, Project Manager and startup co-founder. In a senior technology transfer role, he has supported the commercialisation of university research outcomes for engineering and business faculties. More recently he was General Manager and COO of a large business incubator supporting the needs of both startups and high-potential SME’s.

QUALIFICATIONS

Initially trained as a Professional Engineer, Deon later obtained an MBA in order to add a strong business foundation to his technical skills. He is a graduate member of the AICD.
